Corneliastreet is an online boutique for carefully selected and uniquely designed Modern Oushak Rugs made from 100% wool.
We add a modern touch to traditional pieces, creating works of art for your home. Our rugs combine timeless beauty and superior quality - they are the perfect foundation for any room and an heirloom to be enjoyed day after day. For years to come.

OUR STORY
The idea for Corneliastreet was sparked two years ago, when Fabiane was searching for the perfect rug for their new Munich apartment.
"I browsed the internet for weeks, and found myself initially frustrated but then motivated to find something extraordinary."
Fabiane discovered the art of handknotted Modern Oushak Rugs and fell in love with their timeless patterns, modern colors and outstanding quality. Shortly after, she made the acquaintance of a trustworthy and experienced supplier from Bhadohi – the center for the production of hand-knotted rugs in India. She ordered a custom Modern Oushak rug and was blown away by the result.

Fabiane was convinced that she isn't the only one struggling to find a rug and thus founded Corneliastreet - an online boutique that helps you find a rug that meets all your needs, which you will enjoy for a lifetime!
Meet the founder
Fabiane Wernecke
Fabiane lives in Munich with her husband and is currently expecting her third child. She has combined her passion for interior design with her professional experience in the design and fashion indurty, to bring these classic rugs with a modern twist to homes all over Germany.
Fabiane studied Design & Management at Parsons University in New York. The company name Corneliastreet is an hommage to her time living in Cornelia Street in the West Village, a starting point for her later career endeavors.
Fabiane later went on to fulfill a Masters in Design & Fashion Management at Bocconi University in Milan, where she delved deeply into the textile industry and the processing of natural materials into high-quality, durable products.
While on maternity leave with her second child, Fabiane discovered her passion for handknotted rugs and fell in love with the creative process. She founded Corneliastreet to make these works of art accessible to customers all over Germany.
