Meet Friederike
It was clear to us that we would like to design a carpet with my sister Friederike from Hausanderlinde. She loves to combine timeless designer pieces with special vintage finds. Our hand-knotted rugs combine centuries-old craftsmanship with new patterns, vibrant colors and timeless beauty. We are happy to be part of your interior concept now!
Friederike lives with her husband and their three children in lively Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin. She has an extraordinary flair for interior design and shares her dreamlike apartment in Berlin and her charming holiday home, the Haus an der Linde, on Instagram. We love their elegant combination of contemporary designer pieces and vintage furniture. On her account, she likes to be inspired by others and inspires us with great decoration tips, her ever-growing wish list and recommendations for Berlin's flea markets and hotspots.
"At the weekend we love having a hearty breakfast as a family. The table is lovingly set, with everything that goes with it. Of course it can be chaotic with the three children, but we still enjoy these moments very much."
Friederike saw a lot of the world as a consultant and lived abroad with her family even as a child. She loves traveling to new countries and getting to know different cultures. "Having traveled a lot has definitely shaped my furnishing style. I think you should dare to try something new and show courage with colour. I'm particularly proud of our kitchen, where we have combined colored kitchen fronts with natural wood elements and a worktop made of natural stone."
Friederike attaches great importance to living consciously, enjoying the moments amidst the chaos and surrounding herself with hand-picked, high-quality pieces. She has once again proven this with her beautiful and timeless carpet creation called ALMA.
